Emergency First Aid + CPR

Certification

Successful students earn a three-year certification in Emergency First Aid and CPR Level A or C.

Standard First Aid + CPR and AED

Does your workplace require first aid certification? Do you simply want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home or elsewhere? In that case, you can't go wrong with Standard First Aid training.

Standard First Aid is the commonly required first aid certification for the workplace. This comprehensive two-day course teaches all the first aid and CPR skills covered in Emergency First Aid training, as well as:

  • Head and spine injuries
  • Bone, muscle and joint injuries
  • Sudden Medical Emergencies
  • Environmental Emergencies
  • Poisons

Successful students earn a three-year certification in Standard First Aid; CPR Level A, C, or HCP; and AED.

CPR/AED Level A, C, or HCP

This one-day course on cardiopulmonary resuscitation provides the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies (depending on the level chosen), including:

  • The Red Cross
  • Responding to Emergencies
  • Check, Call, Care
  • Recovery position
  • Choking
  • Assisting with medications
  • Angina and heart attack
  • Stroke
  • CPR and AED
  • Deadly bleeding
Certification

Successful students earn a three-year certification in CPR Level A, C, or HCP.

  1. An online Fundamentals of Instruction component (8 hrs)
  2. An application of fundamentals classroom component (14.5 hrs)
  3. An online Teaching Experience module (30-34 min) and a classroom component with the support of a Teaching Experience supervisor
